Vision Code Vocabulary
The work on my project—Vision Code: The Final Evolution—is progressing. I’m working on the middle chapters now and trying to not get bogged down.
One of my challenges in this genre is the vocabulary of the day.
Looking back, it seems that each generation brings new words into the spoken world.
For instance in my time, groovy or far out, would mean great.
Another generation would use dope or on point.
A middle grade student today would perhaps describe something great as bussin or fire.
My hope for this book is to come up with futuristic slang words that a twelve-year old might use.
For instance, instead of going steady with someone, maybe they are interfacing.
Or something great is hyperstellar.
Who knows? Maybe my made-up words will be the future slang. They can’t be any stranger than some of the ones around today.
I would love to hear any suggestions that you may have.
Subscribe and drop me an email with your groovy, dope, fire, hyperstellar slang.
Logging off for now!
